Breakfast in Dorian Inn - Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

Generally this is a good hotel within Athens at Omonia Square, The transport links to Athens are very convenient, easy to get to Syntagma Square by buses or the metro, the hotel is within 2/3 min walk from the metro. Walking to Syntagma isn't much of an issue too, as it took me just under 20 minutes, obviously baring the heat. The hotel itself, is just away from Omonia Square, the surrounding areas are a bit worn down, even at night/ and in the evening I encountered no issues, why would I tourist use the back streets and alleys anyway??, so the best way is to stay to the main roads in and around Omonia Square and the main roads/ streets if walking to Athens, Syntagma. The hotel inside is very well kept, and in good condition, its inviting to guests, and had great amenities. Very good food from the roof top restaurant and bar, to the breakfast buffet in the morning, the food I had during my stay was exceptional. No problems at check in or at the time of departure, the personnel, staff at the hotel very nice and professional and clearly enjoyed their jobs, some of the best hotel staff I have encountered for a while to be honest and very passionate. The room was what I requested, a lovely view of part of Athens and the Acropolis/ Parthenon. make sure you request a room on the highest floors 11 or 12, for fantastic views and the sunrise. The room was very spacious , large bathroom and the air con powerful, for late summer in Athens. Also room service was available, and a good selection of bathroom amenities. The room was also bright and cleaned to a high standard. Very appealing !

This is a great choice to experience the central of Athens! It is very easy walking distance to all of the tourist sites, and just a 2minute walk from the metro that we took directly from the airport. The room was a good size, very clean, and a super comfy bed!! The absolute best part of the hotel was the rooftop terrace. There is a full bar and restaurant which was open all day. And the hotel is one of the tallest buildings in the city, so you had a 360 degree, uninterrupted view of the entire city of Athens, all the way to the ocean, the most stunning view of the Acropolis, which is even better at night because all of the monuments were lit up. I'd go back to Athens just to experience the rooftop pool and that view again!! Also, we traveled with our small baby, the staff was SO friendly and accommodating. Excellent baby bed was provided, everyone was so friendly and spoiled our little one with cookies and milk, and they were able to accommodate a late check put for us so that he could have a good nap before our flight. Highly recommend Dorian Inn!!

On our first night, we were given a room at the 2nd floor which was filthy. The carpet dirty, smelly room , bed seemed to have bed bugs, and the worst toilet/shower with kumps of moulds on the tiles and very smelly. I had allergy attack because of the room condition and vomitted on our first night. I was gagging everytime I would go to the toilet. I then requested for a room transfer in the morning asking for a room without carpet. Immediately, the reception guy on the morning of the 27th Dec 2024 accomodated our request and moved us to a better and seemed like a newly renovated room. I was very thankful for that staff who granted our request. This made our stay until the 30th December better and more comfortable. The breakfast was always beautiful and with lots of choices with traditional Greek breakfasts available. The staff at the buffet breakfast were all very lovely especially the one with the curls, she wasn't there on our last breakfast day (30th Dec), i would have thanked her for her beautiful service from the 27th-29th.

As someone who has travelled extensively and have stayed in a fair few Best Western hotels, I booked the Dorian expecting it to be very nice . I had booked a Queen Comfort room . After checking in , I went to my room which was anything but a comfort room and definitely was not what I had booked . For the first time in my life , I returned to reception and told the staff that I wasn’t happy with the standard of my room . Greece is the 69th country I have visited and I have stayed in hundreds of hotels , both in the UK and across 6 continents. I must say , the staff were fabulous, they moved me to a suite , so I had three nights in a beautiful room . The staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful . The rooftop bar and Pool were lovely , with stunning views of the Acropolis. I had a wonderful time !

Loved the rooftop pool, bar and restaurant area and the staff were exceptional for service. Had a balcony room the first night with great views of Central Athens, Ommonia square but it was facing the main road which was busy and noisy. Gladly sacrificed the balcony room for a room at the rear of the hotel and had excellent nights sleep. Then enjoyed panoramic 360 deg. and excellent views of the whole of Athens on the rooftop facility, unforgettable and exceptional. Rooms were very clean and Breakfast was plentiful.
