The room was modern and clean, great big bathroom. The pool and view from the rooftop bar were both fantastic.

On our first night, we were given a room at the 2nd floor which was filthy. The carpet dirty, smelly room , bed seemed to have bed bugs, and the worst toilet/shower with kumps of moulds on the tiles and very smelly. I had allergy attack because of the room condition and vomitted on our first night. I was gagging everytime I would go to the toilet. I then requested for a room transfer in the morning asking for a room without carpet. Immediately, the reception guy on the morning of the 27th Dec 2024 accomodated our request and moved us to a better and seemed like a newly renovated room. I was very thankful for that staff who granted our request. This made our stay until the 30th December better and more comfortable. The breakfast was always beautiful and with lots of choices with traditional Greek breakfasts available. The staff at the buffet breakfast were all very lovely especially the one with the curls, she wasn't there on our last breakfast day (30th Dec), i would have thanked her for her beautiful service from the 27th-29th.

As someone who has travelled extensively and have stayed in a fair few Best Western hotels, I booked the Dorian expecting it to be very nice . I had booked a Queen Comfort room . After checking in , I went to my room which was anything but a comfort room and definitely was not what I had booked . For the first time in my life , I returned to reception and told the staff that I wasn’t happy with the standard of my room . Greece is the 69th country I have visited and I have stayed in hundreds of hotels , both in the UK and across 6 continents. I must say , the staff were fabulous, they moved me to a suite , so I had three nights in a beautiful room . The staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful . The rooftop bar and Pool were lovely , with stunning views of the Acropolis. I had a wonderful time !

For one person, the room was a comfortable size with a bathroom bigger than my own at home. The staff were very friendly and the roof-top bar was an added bonus (lovely views of Athens). The close proximity to Omonia metro station meant getting into the city centre was even easier. Overall, it worked well as a base of operations while I explored the area each day.

The hotel is very central, located in the popular Omonoia, is an excellent spot to move by foot in Athens. The terrace is a big plus & the room was super comfy! As solo traveller, it had everything I needed to move freely. About the neighbourhood: I was a bit confused by the mixed reviews, so I went and saw with my own eyes. It's a popular neighbourhood, meaning that you will encounter every layer of society. If you are used to travel in big Mediterranean cities, you will get the same. It's an ok neighbourhood. Just common sense at night. That's all.

The hotel is located downtown at walking steps from the Omonia underground station. You can walk to the acropolis right from the hotel, The breakfeast offers a wide range of dishes. Don't hesitate to taste the traditionnal ones, mashed peas, slices of pies filled with a mix of spinach and cheese or mini-strudel kind of pastries. I also enjoyed having a drink at the roof top bar that offers great view on the athenian landscape, especially the acropolis hill and its enlightened monuments. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful.

Location views from the bar area are magnificent! Great staff in the bar area each day. Room was looked after by staff really well each day. Good breakfast choices. All main sites to see within 25 min walk, plus local market areas are near too. Very close to Syntagma Square to easy to get to from the airport
